St. Mauli (Closed)
In our series “Berlin Guide“ we share our favorite snack bars, restaurants or cafés with you. We reveal where to get the best vegan donuts in town, which Vietnamese tapas restaurant you should visit and where you’ll catch us eating vegan pizza. Here are all our Berlin recommendations.
Swabian pockets in broth, roasted or as a burger. St. Mauli offers you all of this. We discovered this restaurant some months ago, but never visited it. So now it’s time to do! Without knowing the concept behind this restaurant – the name is just killing it! St. Mauli is kneating, shaping and kuddling their pockets by hand. They serve them with meat, veggie anddddddd VEGAN. Yes!
Our all-time-foodies Lisa and Maximilian are with us again and Fabian is our today’s new foodie.
Sounds like a foodie-double-date. Isa is the only person today trying the vegan swabian pockets.
What do I have to try?
No matter what you pick – the swabian pockets are everywhere and so delish!
The most interesting person in the room?
Person? I only recognize pockets! There are 4-5 tables inside and two tables outside. St. Mauli is well-frequented. They have 20 seats inside and 10 outside. What I really like: you can find a lot of pictures from swabian pockets on their walls. Really, really cute. Krkkrkr.
Be prepared for..
When you order your pockets you will get a red sauce, that tastes like paprika and tomato or something in between. A bit unfamiliar to me but tasty. AND: in the end you get some shots on the house. That carries St. Mauli directly in our hearts.
If this restaurant would be an animal..
.. it would be a koala. Relaxed and cute, looking really good and everyone wants to hang up with them, cause it’s really special.
